Landscapes
The beautiful Brandywine Valley has inspired artists for generations. In a small way, I carry on that tradition. Driving the back roads one finds beauty everywhere - the farms, mills, springhouses, ponds, and the Brandywine.
Pumpkins
Pumpkins are a favorite subject. By mid-October, I am painting at Haskell's Farm where they grow the super sized pumpkins slated for the Great Pumpkin Carve in Chaddsford , PA. Each year the pumpkins are diffent due to weather and other circumstances. Too, each year pumpkins are arrayed differently inside and outside the barn. Painting pumpkins is a fun but fleeting time. I cherish each moment spent at the farm in Autumn. Thanks HG!
FLORAL
Everlasting flowers on canvas. Most of the paintings in this collection were executed Spring 2020. This Spring seemed to grow the most beautiful flowers. In this collection are woody peonies, classic peonies, daffodils. stargazer lilies, and sunflowers to name a few. These paintings bring flowers into your home offering Spring beauty lasting forever.
Snow
Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow,..... Nothing cleanses the landscape or brings it into sharper focus than a recent snowfall.
Fresh, undisturbed, and pristine,... a snow gives artist and connoisseur an opportunity to view the landscape transformed.
Nocturnes
The mystery of the night. Nocturnes present the artist with special challenges. In daylight illumination is pervasive. While the light changes quickly, there is still light. In nightlight, the illumination is more specific. Certain objects are illuminated and others are only tantalizingly present.
Miniatures
Miniatures in this collection are smaller than 8 x 10. Priced between $375 and $600, they can be used anywhere and are great, long-lasting gifts.
Frames
Frames are very important because they are capable of creating a 'marriage' of art and frame making a more complete experience for viewers. During the impressionist era, some artists would not show paintings to patrons unless the painting was framed. Too, artists often made their own frames to compliment the art. Frederic Harer and Ben Badura were Bucks County framers in the late 19 and early 20 th centuries. Badura and Harer style frames are available for view in this collection.
